Dear American girl whose name begins with M I’m pretty sure,
Thank you for the ginger snaps. After a rash breakfast of bacon, eggs, buttered toast, and a hey-I’m-five-years-old glass of chocolate milk, your ginger snaps added much needed peace to a rebellious tummy on the ride through Kampala. As we bumped down rutted roads, lurched around roadside goats (and children) and around...
obama in africa
In Kampala, seen on
the fronts of matatus
spelled out in beads on bracelets
t-shirts
calendars and posters sold on the roadside

3. Sometime next week I’m going with two friends of mine to look at a house that will be for rent next year. A real house in a neighborhood that is so residential it hurts. Big yards, modest but well-kept houses, lots of trees, people out walking their dogs….it’s great. AND they allow cats.
What neighborhood?

And that, ladies and gentlemen, sums up GWB. Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking he was some sort of evil monster. Time will vindicate this man.

“For a generation, the Polaroid camera gave near-instant pleasure to millions of users around the world, chronicling everything from births and weddings to the downright explicit. But when digital photography came along in the 1990s – with instant images and the ability to edit and delete pictures before they see the light of day – Polaroid was...

“If I’d been anywhere but the library, I would have shaken his hand and wondered what exactly he meant by “I’m crazy.” At the library, however, saying you’re crazy simply means you belong. What I couldn’t, however, shake from my mind as I shook his hand was how exactly a homeless man in drag got the name Clemens.”

Dan In Real Life.
i think that this is going to be one of those films we all look back on in like 5 years and realize that, sure, even though Dane Cook is in it, it is really just an awesome portrayal of family. plus Sondre Lerche’s music in this is astounding and touching.
in fact, i’m kinda pissed i don’t own this movie.
i think i love this movie a little more than...
