experiment
We worked out we can save close to $720 and 100 hours a year by using a hand-crank $50 washing machine instead of the laundromat. I ordered the WonderWash today, so we should be hanging up laundry to dry all over Bag End in no time. Feeling ominously self-satisfied — we’ll see how this goes.

Even in the rain, we live in a really beautiful place. I still hate autumn rain, England memories aside. I wore half my Liz Lemon Halloween costume today without even meaning to. Feeling very down on library school today, and not even the spring course list can revive me. It doesn’t help that I’m doing a critical analysis on an LIS research paper with an author who died recently,...

Dear Olympics Review Committee, I propose the inclusion of Trail Running with Disobedient Dog be added to the host of Olympic events. Trail Running with Disobedient Dog, or TRwDD, combines the best of cross country running with the best of hurdles, cuddly animals with real danger. To join in, hook your animal to a short leash. Make sure the animal you select is truly Disobedient, heeding...

project kill the killer mold
John and I came to the startling and paranoid conviction yesterday that we are being slowly taken over by mold. My revelation came scrubbing the shower floor, which doesn’t happen nearly often enough because I am near-sighted and things always look pretty good to me; J’s came when he moved his desk and found mold creeping quietly up the wall by the stairs. We’ve run the the big,...

At this rate it will be a long time before Mitchell Hurwitz has a hit that will let him make an Arrested Development movie.
